How do i get started on a summer vacation essay?

I’m a sophomore in high school, and i am supposed to write about a day/moment/week of my summer vacation. It can be funny or sad, but it just has to “pop”.
I’m bad at thinking creatively and at writing on a vague topic. I also haven’t done anything over the summer, besides studying, playing in chess tournaments, and going to a chess camp- nothing that “pops”. It’s only a page long double spaced- should i just make something up?
Any advice or suggestions are appreciated!
